Hi,
I have written a adobe javascript function which will be called on a click of a button in the pdf page. When you click the button, It triggers a silent printing using the default printer assigned. But, I need to validate the printer before the print process, The printer only should be a real paper printer (NO PDF, PRINT TO FILE are allowed). I am able to get the printer name, But relying on the only printer name is not ok coz of the fact you can rename the printer name.
Can any one guide me, How to get the actual printer name, port etc or otherwise, Is there anyway to access the registry from the adobe javascript. Your answer would be much appreciated!!!
